In the exclusive surroundings of Monte Carlo, the name and dramatic silhouette of the Jaguar four-door GT was revealed in public for the first time.
On the hallowed street circuit around the iconic harbour, Type 01 was cloaked in an artistic wrap. The bold scale, long bonnet and exuberant proportions offering an expressive precursor to the official reveal later this year.
It could only be a Jaguar
The name Type 01 was exhibited on the car’s signature Strikethrough feature. ‘Type’ speaking to our provenance – the latest in a legacy of era-defining cars embodying bold and exuberant design, visceral performance and cosseting comfort. The ‘0’ representing zero tailpipe emissions. And the ‘1’, a mark of its status as the first in a new generation of thrilling Jaguar creations.
From race to road
As the World Championship winning Jaguar TCS Racing team prepared for its most glamourous round of Formula E racing, this was also the perfect weekend to showcase Type 01 as the most advanced and powerful Jaguar production car ever.
